How to Bypass Additional Amount

When your dealership uses Dual Pricing, a card surcharge is automatically added to terminal payments. If a manager approves waiving this fee for a customer, you can bypass the additional amount during the payment confirmation step. A manager PIN is required to complete the bypass.

Steps

1. 1 From the Process Transaction screen, select the customer's payment method, then click Post to Account.
2. 2 On the Confirm Transaction screen, toggle the switch next to Bypass Additional Amount. The toggle will activate, removing the card surcharge from the total.
3. 3 Click Confirm. A confirmation prompt will appear asking if you are sure you want to bypass the additional fee.
4. 4 Enter a dealership manager's 6-digit PIN in the Bypass Fee Amount field, then click Bypass Fee Amount to authorize.
5. 5 Click Confirm on the final confirmation screen to complete the payment. The transaction will post at the cash price with the additional fee waived.
