See what’s been changed on a transaction

Modified on Fri, Sep 11 at 3:55 PM

Every change to a transaction is recorded on the transaction, with who made it.

Where to look

Open the payment from Reporting → Transactions. If anything has been edited, an Edit History section appears on the payment details.

No Edit History section means nothing has been edited.

What it shows

The person who made the change, and each field that changed — the old value struck through, the new value beside it. A department move reads as the old department crossed out and the new one next to it. If DealerWorks made the change for you, it shows under the name of the person here who did it.

Refunds and voids are recorded too

A payment that has been reversed shows an icon next to it in the transaction list, and the payment itself lists each event — the original amount, and anything that has gone back as a negative figure.

That list is the quickest way to see whether something has already been partly refunded.
