My terminal says its software is out of date

Terminal updates are sent out automatically, overnight. You don’t need to do anything to install them.

Leave your terminals on overnight

Leave your terminals on and plugged in overnight. Updates are sent overnight, so a terminal needs to be on to get them.

If a terminal didn’t update

Sometimes a terminal doesn’t pick up an update straight away. We can update it for you.

1. If a message on the terminal says its software is out of date, contact DealerWorks Support. If it asks for a code to update, we’ll give you the code.
   Have the terminal’s name ready. It’s at the top left of the screen — see Find your terminal’s name.
