Change what someone can do

Modified on Fri, Sep 11 at 5:14 PM

Changing someone’s permissions is done from the same screen you added them on — if you have the access for it.

If you have user management permission

  1. Go to Administrative → User Management.
  2. Click the three dots next to the person’s name.
  3. Click Edit User.
  4. Change their permissions and save.
Departments control which transactions they can see. Payment types control what they can take.

If you don’t

Contact DealerWorks Support and tell us who needs what changed. We’ll do it for you.

You don’t need to work out which permission it is — describe what they need to be able to do.

Accounts you won’t be able to edit

Accounts belonging to DealerWorks staff can’t be edited from your User Management page. Those aren’t your users.
