Resend or cancel a payment request

Modified on Mon, Sep 28 at 11:14 AM

A request that is still waiting can be sent again or cancelled from the list. Once it has been paid, the same menu gives you the payment instead.

While it is still waiting

  1. Go to Open Orders → Payment Requests and find the request.
Click All if you cannot see it.
  2. Click the three dots at the end of the row.
  3. Choose Resend Payment Request or Cancel.
THE OPTIONWHAT IT DOES
Resend Payment RequestSends the same link again, to the same phone number or email address it went to the first time. To send a different request instead, cancel this one first so the customer can’t pay twice.
CancelCloses the request so it can no longer be paid. Afterwards it shows a red circle beside the amount, and appears in the list when the filter is set to Canceled or All.

A cancelled request cannot be reopened. If the customer still needs to pay, send a new one.

After it has been paid

The same three dots offer a different set once the payment has gone through. The options on the menu depend on what your account is allowed to do.

If your account allows it, you can reverse a payment or send the receipt again from this row, without going over to Reporting → Transactions.

If you do not see the option you need

The menu only shows what your account is allowed to do, so a missing option means a missing permission.

Your dealership’s account administrator needs to contact DealerWorks Support and tell us who should have it. We can only grant permissions at an administrator’s request.
